FreeStockResearch has prepared the second quarterly Ranking of Online Presence, Research Activity and News Appearance (OPRANA) of the leading public stock trading and investment companies registered at Ukrainian Exchange.
Private as well as large institutional investors can use this information to choose the most open investment broker or stock trading company in Ukraine. Openness of a stock broker may be considered as one of the key characteristics of their reliability. If an investment company spends time, money and effort on promoting its online presence, research and appearance in the news, then it is more likely to be a long-term enterprise interested in the strategic presence on the Ukrainian stock market rather than a one-day firm.
The ranking accounts for three major domains of openness: company webpage rankings on Google and Yandex (major search engine in CIS), quantity of publicly available analytical reports and counts of news appearances. Please read the complete methodology, motivation and limitations.
Out of 58 companies registered at Ukrainian Exchange, Dragon Capital remains the most active and open investment company in Ukraine, while Concorde Capital and Art-Capital are still among the top 5. Renaissance Capital and Veles Capital demonstrated the most significant improvement since September 2011 by gaining 8 positions in the ranking. Five companies that were not among the leading stock traders have improved their online openness and now are among the best 25 stock brokers.
